What exactly is "trading"?
Wicked Thrift is not a consignment shop and we are not a donation thrift... we are also very proud to say we attend no estate sales, flea markets, yard sales, or store close-outs of any kind.

Wicked Thrift trades with the public each month,  offering cash and store credit for your items!  You will always get two choices, based on the current resale market value of your items.  You can choose to accept 50% of your items' total value as store credit (which is good forever and never expires)... OR... You can choose to take the cash at 30% of your items' total value.

The only "waiting" involved, is for us to go through your drop-off, which generally takes anywhere from 7-14 days, max.  

Then,  we will call you to collect your return items, your cash, or start shopping on store credit!  We share the mathematics with you, so nothing is ever a mystery.  It's a very honest and fair process!

When can I trade my items?
From April through November, Wicked Thrift has "drop-off" dates, which we strictly follow. No items will be accepted outside of our trade dates - no exceptions. We do not trade in December, January, February or March. Our trade calendar can be found:

What types of items does Wicked Thrift trade?
Wicked Thrift sells everything from designer clothing & accessories, to everyday name brands. Sorry,  we do not trade children's clothing or household items.

We hand-pick from thousands of items each month, including clothing, shoes, accessories, costume & fashion jewelry, vintage clothing, theatre props, and costumes for men and women.

We depend on our traders to bring us the "best of your best" in street wear, everyday basics, formals, purses and bags, shoes, accessories, fashion jewelry & vintage from all eras.

What about designer items?

Wicked Thrift always trades at the highest value possible, determining values based on the current resale market for the same/similar items.  We offer a competitive price points on your designer bags, designer jeans and fine name brands, as well as special consideration given to "special" and "unique" items.

Do the items need to be seasonal?
Wicked Thrift tries flows with the seasons,  so think like a shopper... What would you spend your "top dollar" on at this time of year?  Those are the items we want and need, month-to-month.

What about item condition?

Again, we ask that you "think like a shopper".  Bring us your best!

If you would not purchase the item yourself,  then no one else will want it! 

PLEASE NOTE: We ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT accept clothing that is too washed-out, pilly, crinkled-up,  covered in pet hair, stained, missing buttons, has a broken zipper, has a run or hole,  or carries any odors like moth balls, must, mold or cigarettes.  Shoes and bags must be free of serious stains and scuffing.

Anything else I need to know?
Yes. Wicked Thrift's agenda is to keep our prices as low as possible for our shoppers, while offering the best fair-market value to our traders.

The idea is to have faith in our process, trade-in your awesome collection of clothing, shoes and accessories...and, we promise, you will always find amazing deals when it's your turn to shop!

How do I prepare my items?
1. Pack your clothing, shoes and accessories into a bag or box , folded as neatly as possible. If the item would travel better on a hanger, please do so.  We are a small business, so ironing items is not feasible.  

***HANGER ITEMS*** In general, we prefer that your items are bagged or boxed!  The only hanger-items we will accept are formal gowns, men's suits, fragile vintage, and heavy winter coats. We will not accept everyday pieces on hangers.

2. Pre-sort "like things" together before placing them into your box or bag (i.e. shirts w/ shirts,  pants w/ pants, etc.). This will help us when it's time to add-up your loot!

3. PLEASE...PRIOR TO DROP OFF...Put your name/phone number in your bag, box, garment bag.

4. PLEASE... DO NOT OVER-STUFF YOUR BAGS! We will NOT accept bags that are too heavy to manage or are about to bust open from over-stuffing. 

5. PLEASE... WE WILL NOT ACCEPT items that are not contained, even of it is just a few pieces. PLEASE BAG/BOX YOUR ITEMS PRIOR TO DROP OFF.
